Description

The 3M Multi-Gas/Vapor Cartridges can be of use in a variety of applications, including petrochemical and chemical processing, utilities, pharmaceuticals, mining and primary metals. When properly fitted, helps provide respiratory protection from certain organic vapors, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methylamine, formaldehyde or hydrogen fluoride at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces. Full facepieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. Not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).

The 3M Multi-Gas/Vapor Cartridge 6006 helps provide gas and vapor protection in a variety of environments. Recommended applications for the cartridge include assembly, batch-charging, chemical clean-up, chemical transfer, cleaning, hazardous waste handling, painting, pouring molten metal.  Industries in which commonly use this cartridge include chemicals, mining, oil and gas, and primary metals. The cartridge has NIOSH approval for environments containing certain organic vapors, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, chlorine dioxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methylamine, formaldehyde or hydrogen fluoride. The cartridge has the assigned color code “olive” in the NIOSH system.
